Why is it so difficult to source local SAP talents?
SAP consultants are highly in demand, but is the supply of qualified and experienced SAP talents enough to cater to such voluminous demand? Based on a survey, companies in Malaysia face difficulties in sourcing for local SAP talents. Local talents are often a priority due to their good grasp of the local language, a better understanding of the local work culture and local jurisdictions.
Although no doubt, foreign consultants are in abundance and some are highly qualified. Some modules, require a better understanding of the local culture, and business practices. It is also difficult to verify the authenticity of foreign consultants due to logistic reasons. Big players such as PwC, NTT Data and HCL are no exception to this issue.
How do we make things better?
